We believe every young person deserves the chance to reach their fullest potential, no matter their background or circumstance. Our College Access Scholars Program walks beside first-generation and underserved students, offering personalized mentorship, academic guidance, and emotional support as they pursue higher education and meaningful careers.
Each year, we welcome a select group of students from local public and Catholic high schools. Our current class of twenty dedicated scholars is already on track to attend their top-choice colleges and universities. Each student works with two mentors: a college coach who guides students and families through admissions, scholarships, and financial aid, and a writing coach who helps them craft strong and compelling personal essays.
These mentors are part of a team of more than thirty committed volunteers who provide expert advice, steady encouragement, and individualized support from application through the transition to college.
To reduce financial barriers, each scholar receives a $500 stipend per semester to help cover books and essential expenses, ensuring that no student is held back by hardship. Our goal is for every scholar to graduate with little or no debt.
The impact is clear. Our program maintains a college graduation rate above 70 percent, more than double the national average for lower-income first-generation students. In 2025 alone, our scholars received over $3 million in financial aid and attended affordable colleges with minimal student debt.
Our mission is simple yet life-changing: to help young people break the cycle of poverty and build a brighter future. For every student we welcome, many more remain on our waitlist, eager for the same opportunity.
